Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re wondering how our services work or what to expect, here are some of the most common questions we hear. If you still have questions, just reach out because we’re happy to help.

Yes. Flickering lights, frequent breaker trips, or dead outlets usually point to overloaded circuits or wiring issues. A licensed electrician can find the problem and repair it safely.

Traditional water heaters store heated water in a tank, while tankless units heat water on demand. Tankless systems are more efficient and provide continuous hot water. We install and repair both types.

If your sump pump isn’t turning on, runs constantly, or can’t keep up with heavy rain, it’s time to have it looked at. We’ll inspect it and recommend repair or replacement based on what we find.

No. Outlet surge protectors only guard the devices plugged into them. Whole-home surge protection defends your entire electrical system, including outlets and hardwired appliances.

It depends on how much power you want during an outage. Some people just want the basics, while others want full power. We’ll calculate your needs and recommend the right Generac model.

It’s not a good idea. EV chargers need proper wiring, voltage handling, and dedicated circuits. Our electricians will install yours safely and make sure it meets local code.

If you’re noticing slow drains, foul smells, or water backing up into sinks or tubs, your sewer line may be damaged. We’ll inspect it and provide a clear solution.

Yes. Annual backflow testing helps prevent contaminants from entering your drinking water supply. We’re licensed to test and document systems in compliance with local regulations.

Absolutely. LEDs last longer, use less power, and offer brighter, cleaner light. We can upgrade your lighting system for better performance and lower energy costs.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our power has gone out four times since the generator was installed, and it has performed flawlessly each time, reinforcing our decision to make the purchase. We were especially pleased with the installation workmanship. The generator placement, gas piping, electrical work, and cleanup all met our expectations. I was home during the installation and saw firsthand the team’s attention to detail. I also appreciated the clear explanations of the exercise schedule, status indicators, monitoring app, and maintenance requirements. I would highly recommend Beck Electric to anyone considering a home generator installation.
